What this site is
ScaffoldCoupler.com is a sourcing and export supply business for scaffold couplers and clamps made in the Cangzhou, Hebei cluster, including Mengcun and Xian counties. We do not own a foundry or forge and we do not hold stock: for each enquiry we select a factory, check its documents, and quote you ourselves. The business is at an early stage. Factory relationships and the export operation are still being set up.
Alongside the supply side is a technical reference that collects, in one place, what a buyer needs before ordering: the coupler types and what each one is for, the standards they are made to (BS 1139, and BS EN 74-1:2022+A1:2025 with its right-angle classes A/AA and B/BB), the slipping and failure forces those standards require of a prototype in a type test — characteristic values, not safe working loads — weights and dimensions for freight planning, and the differences between drop-forged and pressed couplers.
The guides are written from published standards, safety-authority guidance and manufacturer test reports, and every figure names its source. Where the market uses different words for the same fitting — double coupler in the UK, right-angle clamp in the US — the guides say so.
Who runs this
ScaffoldCoupler.com is run by Ethan, based in Chengdu, China. Ethan compiles the standards material and writes the guides, contacts and checks the factories, and handles every enquiry and quotation himself.
The factories are in Cangzhou, Hebei, not in Chengdu. Ethan works with them remotely and will visit a factory in person when an order calls for it.
How an order works
Our role: we are a sourcing and export supply business, not a manufacturer. We quote, contract with you, and arrange production and shipment; the couplers are made by a factory we select in the Cangzhou cluster. We are still setting up the export side of the business, so for each order the contracting party and the payment route are confirmed in writing, on the proforma invoice (PI) or contract, before you pay anything.
Start with a specification through the enquiry form. How to order covers factory documents, quotations, samples, payment, inspection and non-conforming goods; each of these is agreed in writing on the PI or contract for the individual order.
How your enquiry is handled: your enquiry comes to us, not to a factory. To prepare a quotation we share the technical specification and quantities with the factories we approach. We do not pass your name, company or contact details to a factory unless you agree to it.
How the site is paid
The site is paid for by the margin on the couplers we supply, which is included in the price we quote. There is no separate sourcing fee.
We do not accept payment for placement in the guides, and no guide recommends a specific factory.
What we are not
- Not a manufacturer: the couplers are made by the factory we select, and we hold no stock.
- Not a testing house — load figures are quoted from standards and reports, never measured by us.
- Not a substitute for the certificate supplied with your couplers. Always specify and check against the actual document.
